Dr. Nik is an Associate Professor in Building Physics at Lund University. His background is Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Energy Conversion and Fluid Dynamics. He has affiliated positions at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and Queensland University of Technology in Australia. His fields of expertise are impact assessment of climate change on buildings and infrastructures, urban energy systems, integration of renewable generation, energy and hygrothermal simulation of buildings, and statistical analysis.
Dr. Javanroodi is a postdoc researcher with the background of High-Performance Architecture at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Before that he was an associate researcher at Lund University, where he developed novel optimization approaches for designing high-performance buildings for different urban morphologies. His fields of expertise are digital design process, urban microclimate condition, urban building energy modeling and simulation, and statistical analysis.
